Chiemseeblick – a new clinic at a unique lakeside location

Until just a few years ago, it served as a recreation center for members of the US army. Now Rasthaus Chiemsee in Bernau-Felden is about to undergo major restructuring and refurbishing: Medical Park AG, a subsidiary of Freiberger Holding, is planning a modern orthopedic rehabilitation clinic on the banks of Lake Chiemsee "Medical Park Chiemseeblick".

With total investments amounting to double-digit million Euros, the Freiberger Holding is making a clear commitment to the Chiemgau region as a future focus of investment. Some 200 new jobs will created as a result. By entering into this undertaking, Medical Park AG is strengthening its presence in one of the most attractive regions in Germany. Located very close to Rasthaus Chiemsee, the company already operates Medical Park Chiemsee, a clinic similarly based on orthopedic surgery and specializing in rehabilitation and ongoing treatment.

The Rasthaus site, which is divided by the Munich-Salzburg Autobahn, is considered to be one of the most desirable locations on Lake Chiemsee. While the listed part of the building complex, which is situated directly on the shores of the lake, will now be converted into a modern health center, the other part, facing southwards towards the mountains, offers a wide choice of amenities. The options range from gastronomy to leisure and entertainment attractions. A hotel with rates priced in the economy price bracket is also planned. Prerequisite for the successful development of this site is close cooperation with the municipality, county authorities and relevant experts in the local departments.
